VIRGINIA CRUM MOLLETT 86 OF KERMIT, WV, PASSED AWAY ON TUESDAY, APRIL 20, 2010 AT A.R.H. IN SOUTH WILLIAMSON, KY. SHE WAS BORN IN MINGO COUNTY ON OCTOBER 7, 1923. SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER PARENTS LEONARD CRUM SR., AND ALICE HORN CRUM; BROTHER: LEONARD CRUM JR., SISTER, DALPHINE CRUM COOK; NIECE: CONNIE COOK JOHNSON AND NEPHEW, DAVID CRUM. SHE IS SURVIVED BY HER LOVING HUSBAND OF 65 YEARS, JOHN W. MOLLETT; BROTHER-IN-LAW, BILL COOK; SISTER-IN-LAW; LOIDA CRUM; NIECES: ALICE (FLOYD) SMITH, KERMIT, WV, BILLIE (PAT) BROWN, CHARLESTON, WV, NEPHEWS: JIMMY DALE CRUM; TIM (PAM) CRUM; AND JOHN CRUM OF KERMIT, WV; A HOST OF GREAT NIECES, NEPHEWS; GREAT-GREAT NIECES, NEPHEWS, AND WAS BLESSED TO HAVE MANY WONDERFUL FRIENDS. SHE WAS A MEMBER OF KERMIT FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH FOR 59 YEARS. SHE WAS A FORMER SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER, BYF LEADER WHERE SHE ENJOYED WORKING WITH THE YOUTH, AND TREASURER OF THE CHURCH FOR MANY YEARS. SHE WAS A DENTAL ASSISTANT FOR DR. M. COLLIER FOR 38 YEARS AND A SALES
CLERK AT THORNTON’S CLOTHING STORE FOR SEVERAL YEARS.
I’D LIKE THE MEMORY OF ME TO BE A HAPPY ONE, LEAVE AND AFTERGLOW OF SMILES WHEN DAY IS GONE, LEAVE AN ECHO WHISPERING SOFTLY DOWN THE WAYS OF HAPPY TIMES, LAUGHING TIMES, AND BRIGHT SUNNY DAYS. I’D LIKE THE TEARS OF THOSE WHO GRIEVE TO DRY BEFORE THE SUN OF HAPPY MEMORIES THAT I LEAVE WHEN LIFE IS DONE.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE CONDUCTED AT 1PM SATURDAY, AT THE RICHMOND-CALLAHAM FUNERAL HOME, WARFIELD CHAPEL WITH LANNA ADAMS OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL FOLLOW IN THE WARFIELDCEMETERY, WARFIELD, KY. VISITATION WILL BE FRIDAY, APRIL 23 FROM 6-9PM AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
